Hi! I’m Vanessajoie, a visual designer and illustrator from the Bay Area.

I’ve always known myself to be a creative person. When I was 3, my father apparently woke up to a Sharpied outline of himself on the mattress. I guess I had traced his sleeping form.

I found deeper interest in visual design when I was in college. I then graduated from my local university, San Jose State, with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2017. A California autumn kid at heart, I love the sun just as much as I love crisp leaves and Halloween.

When I’m not designing or working Joiebooth, I enjoy writing and spending my holidays carefully riding motorized tricycles in the Philippines.

You can find a short version of my resume below — or email me if you’d like to chat about design, art, or your favorite spooky movie.
